A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was shot in the “chest area.”
A police report from the Horry County Police Department identifies the suspect as 33-year-old Aaron Leonard Brown, of Conway.
J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records show Brown was booked around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. He is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was released around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday on $35,000 bond.
According to the report, officers responded to the 200 block of Lee Street in Conway around 11:30 p.m. on July 26 for a shooting.
A witness reported to Horry County Dispatch that her boyfriend had been shot by a mutual friend, according to the report. Upon arriving, officers observed the victim, a 32-year-old male, lying on the ground with an “apparent gun shot wound to the chest area.”
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition, the report also states.
