A man pointed a gun and said he was going to kill a victim during an assault near Broadway at the Beach, a police report says.
According to a police report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, an officer on patrol was flagged down by a man in connection with an assault around 2:49 a.m. on Saturday in the 1300 block of Celebrity Circle. This man, listed in the report as a witness, told police he saw four white males approach a male victim and start punching him.
The male victim, identified in the report as 30-year-old Gary Robinson, was punched several times, causing multiple teeth to fall out and his face to bleed, the report also says.
The four males reportedly got into a white SUV and left the scene, according to the report. Shortly after the SUV left the scene, the witness says a blue Bentley pulled up to the victim and a heavy-set male, described in the report to be about 6-feet, 1-inch tall and 220 pounds, exited the car and “shoved” the victim’s girlfriend to the ground, where he reportedly pulled a gun at the victim and said “I’m going to kill you.”
A second witness told police he observed a white SUV, with the tag number of MMW132, stop in the parking lot next to two white males that were punching the victim, the report also says. The two males then got into the SUV and drove off.
Blood was observed in the parking lot area where the witnesses said the fight took place, according to the report. At the time of the responding officer’s arrival, all suspects and the victim had left the scene. The victim and one of the witness went to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where they were later located by police. No information on the victim’s condition is available.
The report lists five suspects: four with no names and one as 32-year-old Ergys Belegu.
No information on arrests or charges is available.
