A fifth suspect has been identified and is wanted after a police chase in the Conway area on Wednesday. 

Captain John Harrelson, with the Horry County Police Department, says Quashaun Cliffton Bromell, of Conway, is believed to be the driver of vehicle during the chase. Bromell is wanted for failure to stop for blue lights and possession, conceal, sell, or dispose of a stolen vehicle with a value of $10,000 or more. 

Police arrested four people in connection with the case on Wednesday: Trustin Di’Jontra  Brown, Chrishawn Sanders, Julie Suba and Shaquille Kayson Blakeley. All four each face one charge of possession of a stolen vehicle. 

A police report from the HCPD says officers received numerous calls around 4 p.m. on Wednesday for shots fired in the area of Juniper Bay Road in the Conway. The complainants said there was a black or burgundy car in the area possibly shooting. 

While en route to the area, a burgundy vehicle matching the description passed officers in the area of Juniper Bay Road and Dunn Shortcut Road, according to the report. The vehicle was traveling on Dunn Shortcut Rd. toward El Bethel Road. A responding officer attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle didn’t stop, continuing to travel on Dunn Shortcut Rd. The vehicle traveled through several street and to the dead end portion of Tracy Rd, where it stopped. Two front passengers exited the vehicle and ran. Three rear passengers stayed in the vehicle and were later detained. 

Horry County Police, Horry County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol set up a perimeter and a dog team was called in to attempt to find the two suspects who ran, the report also says. One of the front passengers was located and detained. Upon running the vehicle through dispatch, officers found the vehicle was confirmed stolen.
