Two people have been charged in connection with a kidnapping case involving a three-week-old baby in Lumberton.
Brian Hardin, of Lumberton, was served warrants while being held in the Bladen County Detention Center. He’s charged with 2nd degree kidnapping, conspiracy on 2nd degree kidnapping, felony larceny and larceny of a firearm.
Lumberton Police say Hardin stole a pickup truck on Mimosa Street on August 20th, with a baby in the back seat. Minutes later, the truck was found with the baby inside, but the suspects had walked away. The baby was unharmed.
Police say Alisha Kaye Hunt, of Lumberton, was the other suspect. She’s also been charged with 2nd degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit 2nd degree kidnapping, felony larceny and larceny of a firearm. She was served warrants while in the Robeson County Detention Center.
The Lumberton Police would like to thank the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department for their help locating the child so quickly and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office for getting warrants served so quickly.
Hardin’s bond is set at $100,000.00 secured. Hunt received a $250,000.00 secured bond in the same case.
