UNION, SC (WSPA) – A 16-year-old student is accused of threatening a teacher with a knife at Union Co. High School, according to a report from Union Police.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. on August 27.

The assistant principal and an officer were called to a classroom.

As they were going down a hallway, they saw a student running uphill towards Lakeside Drive.

They stopped the boy.

The boy told them he left the special needs classroom because the teacher hurt his feelings.

The teacher of the class and another teacher ran after the boy to get him to return to the classroom.

As he was walking out of the classroom room he pulled out a pocket knife and yelled “I will (expletive) you up and this is sharp,” according to the report.

The student is being charged with threatening a public official and possession of a weapon on school property.
