On Monday, Labor Day, Olive Garden said “thank you” to first responders with a free lunch.
First responders at Myrtle Beach Station One took part in the lunch.
“Every single day, firefighters cook for each other in the fire house. So, we really just wanted to take the burden of at least one meal today off of whoever was responsible for cooking today and take care of that for them,” said Amy Torres, the manager of Olive Garden in Myrtle Beach.
This is the 17th year in a row that Olive Garden restaurants have served first responders.
