GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – Georgetown County officials say a new supply of sandbags has arrived for distribution to residents. Sandbags will be re-stocked at the following locations:
· North Santee Park, 1484 Mt. Zion Ave., Georgetown.
· Andrews Regional Recreation Center, 209 S. Maple St., Andrews.
· Dunbar Park, 1960 Dunbar Rd., Georgetown.
· Wachesaw Park, 3950 Old Kings Hwy., Murrells Inlet.
These sites are open now until 8 p.m. Wednesday and are scheduled to be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday. Although Thursday’s schedule may change depending on weather and supply. Please note the site in Pleasant Hill has been closed and will not be restocked.
Sandbags will be limited to 10 per household and residents will need to fill the bags themselves with a supply of sand that will be available on site. A limited number of shovels and gloves will be available, but people are advised to bring their own.
Sandbags will be distributed on a first-come basis. Proof of residency must be shown to receive sandbags.
