The lane reversals on U.S. Highway 501 in the Myrtle Beach area have ended.

The S.C. Department of Public Safety and the S.C. Department of Transportation, along with supporting agencies, reversed the direction of traffic along certain evacuation routes at noon Tuesday to ease the flow of traffic away from the coast ahead of Hurricane Florence.

According to a tweet from SCDOT, lane reversals across the state will end on Thursday. The U.S. 501 lane reversal ended at noon.

SCDOT crews removed cones and barrels on Thursday afternoon ahead of Hurricane Florence’s arrival, according to another tweet from SCDOT.
