MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – As the City of Conway prepares for major flooding from the Waccamaw River, Myrtle Beach neighbors are asked to donate their unused sandbags.
The City of Myrtle Beach credits Larry Bond with the idea for the sandbag exchange. Any Myrtle Beach residents or business owners who have sandbags that went unused with Hurricane Florence’s arrival, are asked to drop them off on North Oak Street
People are bringing their sandbags back to the dropoff point on North Oak Street so that Myrtle Beach can provide them to Horry County neighbors, specifically in Conway, who are dealing with flood waters from Hurricane Florence’s heavy rains.
