A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pick-up truck on Tuesday evening in Horry County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Judd Jones, spokesman for the South Carolina Highway Patrol, says the accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on SC-707 near Big Block Road.
Jones says a pick-up truck traveling north struck a person trying to cross the road. The Horry County Coroner’s office identifies the victim as Theresa L. Sikora, 55, of Myrtle Beach.
Jones says a driver and passenger in the truck were not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation.
