A woman has been arrested on a warrant issued after people reported being shot at in Georgetown County in September.
According to Jason Lesley, with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, Shannon Lane Bone was jailed on Friday on a warrant issued for an incident that occurred on September 6.
GCSO deputies were dispatched to 129 Sundance Lane in the Andrews area around 6:40 p.m. on September 6 in reference to a shots fired incident, according to an incident report. A witness told deputies she was in front of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and was shot at. Deputies searched the area and “did not see any spent casings.” Deputies stated in the report that people out in their yards across from the church did not see or hear anything.
According to the report, a few minutes after the first call came in, a woman called and stated her child’s father shot at them and she would be waiting to speak with a deputy at 129 Sundance Lane. When deputies arrived at this location, they were able to confirm the two calls were about the same incident.
The woman told deputies she took her son to pick up belongings from 208 Parker Road in the Andrews area because he was moving home with her after living there for about a month, the report says. The woman stated a suspect, identified in the report as 44-year-old Stacy Walter Howard of Andrews, exited the residence with something behind his back and she didn’t know what it was. The woman said she and her son got into her white Chrysler 200 and left.
The woman stated they were on Saints Delight Road traveling towards Highway 521 when she saw a red Ford Taurus driven by a second suspect, identified in the report as 36-year-old Shannon Lane Bone of Georgetown, and Howard in the passenger seat, the report says. The woman also said Howard had a black, long gun out of the window pointed at her car and was shooting.
The witness went with the two victims to 208 Parker Road because a large TV needed to be moved, according to the report. The witness was driving a silver GMC Acadia behind the victims in the area of Saints Delight Church, when she saw a red Ford Taurus coming up from behind her at a high rate of speed. The witness also said Bone was driving and Howard was in the passenger seat, with a long, black gun out of the window pointed at the victim’s car. This witness was unable to confirm if she heard gunshots.
Deputies inspected both vehicles and did not see any “apparent bullet holes,” the report also states.
Since deputies were unable to confirm whether or not Howard fired a gun, warrants would be prepared for pointing a firearm at any person, says the report. Deputies also said warrants would be prepared for Bone for accessory after the fact.
Georgetown County Detention Center booking records show that Bone was booked around 11:45 a.m. on Friday and remains in the center. Her charge is listed as “accessory after the fact to felony f” and no bail has been set.
