CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The driver of a 2001 Mitsubishi died after drifting off of Highway 905 outside of Conway early Saturday morning.
Lance Corporal Judd Jones with South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash involved only one car and occurred around 12:50 a.m. Saturday morning. The driver of the Mitsubishi was traveling south on SC 905 and drifted off the right side of the road. The driver then over-corrected, running off the left side of the highway, hitting a ditch.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died following the crash, confirms Jones. The name of the victim has not yet been released by the Horry County coroner’s office.
