A body was found during a search for a missing person in Columbus County on Saturday.
According to a post on the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, the CUE Center for Missing Persons was conducting a search for a missing person in the area of Thurman Road in Hallsboro on Saturday. During the search, a body was found in a wooded area off of Thurman Road.
The identity and cause of death are pending autopsy results, the post says. No additional information will be released at this time.
