MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Horry County coroner’s office confirms a woman died Monday night after being hit by a vehicle five days prior.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris G. Fowler says Dorothy Godwin, of Texas, was crossing Highway 17 at 10th Avenue South Oct. 10 around 10:30 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle. Godwin died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center Monday night at 11:32 p.m. from traumatic brain injury from being hit by the vehicle.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the incident, according to Fowler.
