Hemingway, SC (WBTW) — Carvers Bay senior quarterback Janaz Sumpter is the week eight Pee Dee blitz player of the week following his performance in the Bears 68-0 win against Johnsonville. Sumpter went 5/8 for 201 yards and four touchdowns passing and added another 110 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Sumpter is the second member of the Bears to earn the honor this season behind running back Toronto King. Carvers Bay will look to remain undefeated on the season as they take on East Clarendon at home on homecoming night.
