Periods of rain today, but we will clear out for the weekend. A storm system moving up into the Gulf coast has spread clouds and rain into the Carolinas. Rain will continue throughout the afternoon and evening. For most places, it will be a cold rain with temperatures in the 50s… however, right along the coast, temperatures could jump into the low 70s, and if that happens, heavier rain and thunderstorms are possible. This storm system will move away tonight, and it will clear for the weekend, but will stay cool with high temperatures on Saturday in the 60s to near 70 on Sunday. A brief warm up Monday ahead of another warm front. A more significant warm up is possible by the middle of next week.
