Aynor High School hosted two special guests on Tuesday to talk with students.
Preston Thorne and Langston Moore, two former University of South Carolina defensive linemen, spoke to students at the school.
Together, they wrote a book called #JustaChicken, which is a Gamecock themed children’s book.
“Whatever it is you want to do, whatever a win looks like to you, whatever success looks like to you, if one person made it out of your high school, your area, you have no excuse to do whatever it is you want to do,” said Moore.
They spoke about the importance of literacy and met with fall athletes at the event.
They also hope their book encourages families to spend more time together and teaches even the littlest Gamecocks to embrace their true-selves.
