Conway High School students got some interesting, hands-on training on Monday.

Using the “Sim Coach,” a fully-equipped mobile simulation laboratory run by Palmetto Health, the students went through real-life, trauma training.

“We brought out our simulation equipment, so they can learn what goes into running a trauma call for EMS, and getting an inside look at different surgical procedures,” said Allen Kenney, a simulation specialist with Palmetto Health.

The vehicle the students used is also used to train medical staffs at hospitals across South Carolina.
