DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A driver became trapped in his vehicle Tuesday evening after a tractor-trailer overturned along Center Road in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
According to Cpl. Matt Southern, the tractor-trailer was carrying steel. All lanes of South Center Road are closed as of 6:45 p.m. As of 8:30 p.m. the driver was freed from the vehicle and declined being transported by EMS.
The initial incident happened at Harry Byrd Highway around 5:30 p.m.
