Buoy from South Carolina displaced by Hurricane Dorian washes ashore in Florida

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL (WBTW) – A large red lighted buoy displaced by Hurricane Dorian has washed ashore in Florida months after the storm has passed.

According to the United States Coast Guard, the buoy was originally from Port Royal Sound in South Carolina. The buoy washed ashore in New Smyrna Beach on Monday.

Now the Coast Guard is working with local officials to have the buoy removed.
