Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the Vintage Place neighborhood in Florence around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday night.
Major Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office says no situation was found.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, it was later determined that the gunfire was target practice from a location outside of the neighborhood.
No injuries were reported and no charges were filed.
The Vintage Place neighborhood is where seven officers were shot on October 3. Two law enforcement officers were killed in the assault.
