The cool weather will continue into the weekend, with rain developing on Saturday. Skies will stay mostly cloudy overnight and a few showers can’t be ruled out as moisture streams back in. The strong storm system we’ve been tracing will bring a more steady rain in by early Saturday afternoon. This will likely be a big winter storm for parts of the Carolinas with significant snowfall… but we will just see rain in our part of the Carolinas. The rain that starts Saturday will continue, and get heavier through Sunday. Ths storm system will move away late Sunday, but moisture will linger behind into Monday. A few showers are possible Monday, and if any showers linger into Monday night, it will be cold enough for snow showers, but accumulation is not expected. It will clear and warm for the middle of next week.
Tonight, mostly cloudy and cold. Lows 35-38 inland, 40-42 beaches.
Saturday, cloudy and cool with rain developing. Highs in the mid 40s inland to near 50 along the coast.
Sunday: cold, breezy and rainy. Highs in the low 40s inland to near 50 at the coast.
