COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Some parts of South Carolina have seen their first wintery weather of the season.

Forecasters say snow mixed in with the rain Sunday morning in areas around Rock Hill and north of Darlington and Florence.

The National Weather Service says temperatures were above freezing, so little of the snow stuck. Roads remained wet, and there were no major power outages.

South Carolina’s highest elevations saw snow too. But the state Department of Transportation checked the roads and reported no problems.

The rest of South Carolina saw a cold rain.

Forecasters say the cold will stay a few days. Highs on Monday should only be in the 40s.
