GARDEN CITY, SC (WBTW) – Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire in the southern portion of Garden City on Friday afternoon.
News13 learned the Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Department, Horry County Fire Rescue and the Surfside Beach Fire Department were along South Waccamaw Drive. Crews were called out just before 3 p.m.
Part of the home’s roof collapsed. There appears to be extensive damage throughout the home.
A viewer sent in a photo that shows the home engulfed in flames before firefighters arrived.
The Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Department told News13 Friday evening that no one was hurt and no one was believed to be inside the home when the fire started.
The department said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined and an investigation is ongoing.
