AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police searched in the Aynor area Friday morning for a man who was reported missing nearly one week ago.
According to Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police, more than 20 officers will be in the vicinity of Valley Forge Road and Coolbreeze Drive in Aynor Friday morning searching for Randy McLaurin Davis, 26, of Conway. Officers searched on foot and ATV four hours, but as of 12:45 p.m. Friday had not discovered anything of interest in Davis’ disappearance.
Davis was reported missing on January 23, after leaving a home on Marshland Road. Lt. Denis says Davis’ disappearance is under “suspicious circumstances,” and he has failed to make contact with his family since Jan. 23.
“Everybody says that’s not like Randy. It’s not like him to not call at least one time a day. All of his friends have said you know Randy has always called us at least once, twice a day. Even more for a minute to say hey but it’s not like randy to not say anything at all,” his sister Kristie Davis said.
Davis is described as a white man, standing approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Davis was last seen wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans.
“Randy is a good person. He’s a good hearted person. He’s got two children and I know they’re wishing for their daddy to come home,” his mother Loretta Davis said.
