FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – One person was shot in an attempted armed robbery in Florence early Friday morning, and police say they are still searching for the suspects.
According to Major Carlos Raines with Florence Police Department, the attempted armed robbery occurred outside a business at the intersection of West Scout Lane and Lawson Street in Florence around 3 a.m. Friday.
One person was shot in the hand, but Major Raines did not release information related to the victim’s condition.Police have reason to believe more than one person was involved in the robbery, and the Florence County Sheriff’s Office aided in the search for the suspects. Officials searched in and around the area where the crime happened, even using tracking dogs during the search, but did not locate the suspects.Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to call Florence Police at 843-665-3191.
