FLORENCE, SC – Florence Little Theatre presents The FLT Gala featuring Tuesdays with Morrie February 5 & 6, 2016. The autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.
The FLT Gala featuring Tuesdays with Morrie is underwritten by Quality Service Company and Johnstone Supply and directed by Elaine Morehead. The cast features Ben Daniel as Mitch Albom and Ron Jebaily as Morrie Schwartz.
Both evenings will include a reception and silent auction following the show. All proceeds will go to support programs at the Florence Little Theatre.
The FLT Gala featuring Tuesdays with Morrie runs February 5 & 6, 2016 with performances at 7:30 PM.
