Ohio researchers have developed a simple test to diagnose preeclampsia. Doctors say the biochemical test examines urine samples and has 86-percent accuracy. Moms with preeclampsia develop high blood pressure and protein in the urine which can lead to deadly complications for both mother and baby. SOURCE – MedDay/CBS

A booster vaccine that teenagers get to protect against the whooping cough loses its effectiveness after a year. Thats according to researchers at Kaiser Permanente who looked at 1,200 cases of whopping cough. They found the Tdap vaccine provided little protection two to three years after vaccination.
