MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The City of Myrtle Beach is reaching out to business owners and managers as officials plan for Memorial Day Weekend and reinforce the traffic loop that was initiated in 2015.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department will conduct a Business Outreach Session at 8:30 a.m., Friday morning. The meeting will be held in Room 202 at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel. This meeting is one of several hosted by the city, and so far, turn out has been relatively low.

City officials report the minimal involvement may actually be a positive thing, since the reason for business owners being involved in years past has stemmed from safety concerns.

Business managers and owners are invited to attend. Topics include businesses’ responsibilities and the Grand Strand’s plans for the Memorial Day weekend. The goal is to get information out to visitors so that they will know what to expect before they arrive. Additional meetings will be scheduled.
