An upstate South Carolina alterations shop has been busy working on jerseys that Clemson football players will wear during the national championship game.
The Tigers will be in white with a special silver Nike patch, paired with orange pants.
This week, Village Alterations in Pendleton added “c” patches for all six team captains.
The shop has been the unofficial alterations shop for the tigers for 16 years and says they had a tight deadline to finish everything up.
“A lot of the times the crew here will have to pull all-nighters sometimes to get it done, work late into the night. There are five of us, but there’s always a really close time limit that they give us,” said Donna Key, with Village Alterations.
These brand new jerseys will only be worn Sunday for the team pictures and of course on Monday night during the game.
After that, the players will be allowed to keep them as keepsakes.
Before the game, join News13 for a half-hour championship preview special at 7 p.m. on Monday. Kick-off will be at 8 p.m. eastern.
