MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police investigate an armed robbery that happened at an oceanfront hotel on Sunday evening.
According to an official police report, officers responded to the armed robbery call at Hotel Blue at 5:45 p.m. When they arrived, the victim told police three men entered his room at gunpoint. He said one of the suspects grabbed him and choked him until he almost lost consciousness.
The report further states the suspects bound the hands and feet of the victim with phone cords and put him in the bathroom while two of the suspects ransacked the room. He said the incident spanned over a three minute timeframe.
According to the report, the hotel’s 32-inch television, Playstation 4 and more than $500 was stolen during the robbery.
The victim told police he managed to get himself untied and saw the suspects leaving the area in a black Ford Focus with SC tag LFR-455. He described the suspects as:
- Suspect 1: White male standing 5’8″ – 5’9″ with a full beard and long hair wearing a blue pair of jeans
- Suspect 2: White male standing 5’9″ to 6’0″ with short hair
- Suspect 3: Black male standing 6′ with a “mini-afro” hairstyle wearing a blue bandana
