Authorities in Darlington County are investigating the death of a baby, who died early Monday morning.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said that a 7-month-old infant from Hartsville was taken to an area hospital.
“The child was pronounced dead around 3:30 am this morning at a local hospital,” Hardee said.
The Coroner’s office and the Hartsville police Department continues to investigate the death, Hardee added.
No ruling on the death is expected from Hardee until the investigation is complete and the autopsy results are available, he said.
