Nathan Griffith, the fiancé of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was released from jail later Thursday afternoon after an incident Wednesday at the couple’s home in Socastee.

Griffith was charged with criminal domestic violence after an incident involving Evans around 4:15 pm, said Lt. Raul Denis of the Horry County Police.

According to a police report, Griffith, age 27, entered the master bathroom inside the home and pinned Evans to the toilet and forcibly removed her engagement ring. The altercation left Evans with a cut on her finger, the report said.

A MTV security crew ran inside the home during the altercation after hearing Evans screaming, the report said.

In a bond hearing around 3:30 pm Thursday — in which Evans did not attend — a $100 bond was set for Griffith. But, the judge in the hearing also ordered that Griffith can’t have contact with his fiancee, Evans, until the next court date, which will be in the next 30 to 45 days.

Griffith also must have supervised visits with the couple’s child, Kaiser, and can’t return to the pair’s Socastee home unless he has a police escort.

Griffith was caught on camera leaving the Horry County Detention Center at 5:23 pm. A friend was there to meet Griffith.

After the incident on Wednesday, Griffith told police he never touched 22-year-old Evans and that she took the engagement ring off, causing the cut.

The pair — who share a toddler son named Kaiser — used to live in the North Myrtle Beach area, but have since moved to Socastee.

The incident Wednesday afternoon, follows an earlier visit by Horry County Police to the couple’s home around 4:45 am Wednesday, law enforcement sources said. In that call, there were no arrests.

Film crews have been at their home recently and on Wednesday for taping of the 6th season of Teen Mom 2, which is planned to air later this year.

Griffith proposed marriage to Evans in January while the pair were on a trip to the Caribbean. It’s unclear if the wedding has been delayed.

But, since then, there have been reports from Radar Online that the two have been arguing “constantly.” The website also reported that Evans has removed nearly all references to Griffith from her social media profiles.

This is not Griffith’s first run-in with police in Horry County. He was arrested in the past for drunk driving and resisting arrest.

After his 3rd DUI in 2013, he spent 30 days in J. Reuben Long Detention Center last year. Griffith has said on Twitter that he cannot drive now.

Evans, whose first child Jace, age 5, still lives with Evans’ mother, is now attending Miller Motte Technical College.

Evans was charged just last week with not having her driver’s license in her possession while driving. She is due in traffic court on March 23 for that alleged infraction.
