Swimmers, beware.
Jeff Corwin shared a photo of a 14-foot long and 8-foot wide stingray. The giant stingray might set a world record for largest freshwater fish ever captured, Corwin said on Facebook.
National Geographic reports the stingray weighs between 700 and 800 pounds.
The stingray was captured in Thailand’s Mae Klong River, with a leading specialist, to provide information for conservation, Corwin said.
Corwin said the stingray was released and is thriving, he added.
