A short person dressed in a Star Wars character outfit robbed a bank just miles from the South Carolina line in Pineville.
The thief was dressed in a Darth Vader outfit and held a long rifle during the robbery on Monday, according to photos from the scene.
The 5-foot-tall robber didn’t just wear the mask, but also black gloves and a chestplate that resembled that of Darth Vadar.
A woman at the bank can be seen on photos handing over bundles of cash to the suspect, who quickly fled with thousands of dollars.
The incident happened just before lunch on Monday and the thief fled in a gray four-door Chevrolet Suburban, WSOC-TV reported.
No one was injured in the robbery.
