CAYCE, S.C. (AP) – The parks at Lake Murray are opening up for the spring.
South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. is opening its parks on the Lexington and Irmo sides of the Lake Murray Dam on Wednesday.
The boat-launching park on the Irmo side will be staffed through Sept. 1. The beach and recreation area on the Lexington side will remain open through Sept. 12.
Operating hours will be from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday until May 4. After that, the park will stay open until 8 p.m. Weekend and holiday hours are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
