SLED on Thursday released the dash cam video of the Walter Scott traffic stop before he was killed on Saturday morning.

Dash cam video shows the unarmed man who was later fatally shot by a police officer get out of his car and then run away during a traffic stop.

The officer, Michael Slager, age 33, who was charged later charged with murder, approaches the green Mercedes-Benz driven by Scott and says he pulled him over because of a broken taillight.

After the officer asks for license and registration, Scott can be heard saying he doesn’t have registration or insurance on the vehicle because he was in the process of buying it. After a brief exchange, the officer returns to his cruiser.

(WARNING: Video is graphic and contains cursing)

Scott at first exits the car and stands up, with Slager telling him to stay inside the car. Seconds later, Scott is then seen on the dashcam video getting out of the car and then takes off running.

The officer then runs after him.

After that, video taken by a witness appeared to show a brief confrontation between Scott, age 50, and the policeman.

Scott runs away and Slager fires several shots at him, the video shows. Scott then collapses and appears to be dead.
