Myrtle Beach Police found a man Sumter officials say kidnapped a pregnant woman at gunpoint, threatened to kill her, and punched her in the stomach.

Roosevelt Mackie Green, age 40, was on Sumter County’s most wanted list, but was nabbed Monday by  the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff’s officials said.

Green is now also facing drug charges in Myrtle Beach, deputies say.

The incident with the pregnant woman happened late on the night of March 28, when deputies say that Green and a woman argued about him having another woman in her car.

According to the incident report, Green pointed a revolver at the pregnant woman and forced himself into the car. They say during the drive — which lasted several hours — Green made threats that he would kill her, her unborn child, her family and then himself.

The victim, who at the time was 27 weeks pregnant, told officers that Green punched her in the stomach during the incident.

The victim said Green forced her to drive the car for several hours and he eventually passed out, deputies said. She told deputies she later woke Green up and told him she was having stomach pains and needed to go to the hospital, according to officials.

According to the incident report, the woman was let out of the car near a wooded area on Highway 378 near Arthur Road. The victim says Green told her he “wasn’t going back to jail.”

Deputies were called to Tuomey Hospital about the incident. The pregnant woman was treated at the hospital and later released, officials say.

Sumter deputies say Green has a tattoo on his right forearm that reads “Mack 10.”

Green will be transported to Sumter County on charges of kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
