Florence County officials and Florence City Police are investigating the broad daylight shooting death of a man in Florence on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The incident is being ruled a homicide and happened in the 900 block Gladstone Street in Florence, said Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
A Florence man died in a shooting in the back yard of the home several minutes after 3 pm on Tuesday, von Lutcken said.
Gabriel Delonta Robinson, age 33, of National Cemetery Road, was the victim, von Lutcken said Tuesday night.
An autopsy will be conducted at MUSC in Charleston Wednesday morning.
Major Carlos Raines with the Florence City Police said that no one has been arrested in the incident yet.
Gladstone Street is located off West Darlington Street within the city limits of Florence.
The incident is under investigation by the Florence Police Dept. and the Florence County Coroner’s Office.
