Hundreds of students in the Pee Dee got hands-on lessons in science Wednesday.
The Pee Dee Regional Education Center, Clemson University and the S.C. Stem Center teamed up for the “Grow Your Own Future” science day.
It happened at Clemson’s Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence County.
Children learned about plants, animals, energy and weather. News13 Chief Meteorologist Frank Johnson helped with the weather lesson.
Organizers say about 350 students from Florence and Darlington counties attended the event.
