MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)-Habitat for Humanity will hold it’s third annual bed race on Saturday at Coastal Carolina University’s running track. Teams of five will decorate a bed on wheels with each team having four pushers and one rider. Everyone will run 100-meters down the track with two timed heats. The teams with the fastest times will compete in the bed-to-bed competition to determine a winner. The event will benefit six local families over the next year as Habitat for Humanity is repairing three homes and building three new ones. Operations manager Rachel Kennon says they hope to raise more than $10,000 at this year’s event. If you would like to sign up to participate in the event, more details can be found at http://www.habitatmb.org/bed_race.html.
