You’ve asked them to stop harassing phone calls, but they keep coming. We brought that issue to law enforcement.
And we learned, there’s one key way to prevent on-going scam calls from starting, and a few ways (some unusual) that might work to stop them.
The number one way to avoid on-going scam calls is to never call back. Once you do, they have your name through your caller ID and they will troll the internet for information about you to make their scam more convincing.
Obviously scammers don’t abide by the Do Not Call registry, so you can try to block them using these three techniques:
1. Work with your phone carrier
2. Check to see if your smartphone as a built-in blocking ability.

“When these people call the best thing to do is give them a good blast with an air-horn in their ear, and usually it stops them. I’m very serious. Because they’re criminals and they’re going to continue to harass you,” said Sgt. Tony Brown.
He warns, please to stop, and returning threats, may only encourage the calls to pick up.
