SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Two people are under arrest for two counts of Larceny and two counts of Burglary 2nd degree after deputies say they stole coupons from the Herald Journal and sold them online.

Charles Markell Tucker and David Ray Griffin face these charges from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office.

Tucker and Griffin were caught on surveillance camera while they were stealing the coupons. Both men were also charged with a previous Burglary at the same business earlier this month.

The Spartanburg County Investigators also charged Jacob D. Bishop and Lea M. Bishop with two counts of Accessory after the fact of burglary and two counts of Accessory after the fact of larceny. The Bishops were helping sale the stolen coupons on social media sites that were stolen from Herald Journal.

Jacob Bishop, who worked as a detention officer, later resigned from his position once his involvement became known in this investigation, according to deputies.

Deputies are asking anyone who may have purchased coupons from the defendants to contact the Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office at 864-503-4500.
