People in Florence turned out for a night on the town Thursday, as well as support several causes.
The 2015 Leadership Florence Downtown Gala featured cocktails, live music and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the event supported the following three charities that help children in need in the Pee Dee:
SNAC or Shelter and Nutrition for All Children works to decrease homelessness and hunger among children in Florence School District One.
Help 4 Kids Florence helps feed elementary school children in need in Florence County. The group provides meals children can take home to eat during the weekend.
The CARE House of the Pee Dee helps respond to suspected or reported child abuse cases.
Thursday night’s event happened at the Waters Building in downtown Florence.
