Four days after a security guard was shot at an Horry County bar, a man was busted trying to sneak in crack and 2 guns were found just outside the bar, Horry County Police said Thursday.

On Sunday night a guard at Danny’s Sports Bar and Grill, 146 April Gray Lane, was shot in the leg after trying to get a Loris man out of the bar, police say. Dustin Peavy, age 23, has since been charged with attempted murder.

Now, Thursday morning, a man was busted by security officers after police say he tried to sneak in a crack cocaine rock hidden in his pants.

Also, 2 handguns were also found outside the club by security guards, police said.

The first incident Thursday happened around 1:15 am when a security officer on duty reported that he found a patron trying to bring drugs into the bar during the search required for admittance. The patron was detained and police were called.

The substance in question field-tested positive as cocaine base (crack cocaine) and the subject was arrested.

Anthony L. White, age 23, of Salters, SC, was transported to the Horry County Detention Center where he was charged with one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base, police said.

A couple of hours later, at around 3:30 a.m., Officers were called back to Danny’s Bar and Grill. A security officer doing rounds of the parking lot walked by a vehicle and could see two pistols on the floor of the car.

The officer left the car to call the police and when he returned the car was gone; however, the two pistols were found discarded on a grassy area near the parking lot. Both pistols were seized by police.
