WHITEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Three people are charged in the death of a Brunswick County woman missing for more than two weeks before her body was found last Wednesday.

Authorities tell local media outlets that 42-year-old Nathan Elisha Tyler Jr., 18-year-old Kayla Leigh-Anne Turner and 31-year-old Michael Jesse Williams are charged in the death of 26-year-old Alicia Marie Deans of Leland.

All have been charged with murder, first degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. It was not immediately known if they had attorneys.

Authorities say Deans was last seen by her family April 28 after saying she was going to see a friend in Columbus County.

Authorities say Deans was robbed of $34 then taken to the woods where she was killed. Her burned vehicle was found on Thursday.
