Virginia College in Florence

will host a Summer Friends & Family Day: Summer Fun Open House for staff, former, current and prospective students and families on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., to be held at the campus located at 2400 David H. McLeod Blvd. While learning about the educational opportunities available to Florence-area students at Virginia College, attendees are also invited to enjoy several activities for all ages and receive free health screenings from Virginia College medical assistant students.

“We are excited to host our Summer Friends & Family Day here at Virginia College in Florence,” says Shannon Schwartz, campus president. “It gives area residents the opportunity to learn more about Virginia College and the programs we offer while enjoying family-friendly activities.”

This event is free and open to the public. Various planned activities will provide fun for the whole family including face painting, a bouncy house, dunking booth, free food, games, contests and prizes. Health screenings and healthy living information will also be available for guests. Attendees will be able to tour the campus, see demonstrations in all functional areas and receive information about programs offered including: Business Administration, Cosmetology, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Office Administration and Pharmacy Technician.
