The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division is investigating the death of 27 year old James R. Dinkins, Jr. as a murder. According to a press release from Major Anthony Thompson, a woman discovered Dinkins’ body on Sunday May 24, at 2:56 pm in a ditch on Magna Boulevard. That’s off Lowe Road in Lumberton. Deputies say a female motorist turning onto Magna Boulevard looking for the trash dump saw the man’s body. It’s believed he had been dead for many hours.
