LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the bank robbery suspect who robbed the First South Bank in Lumberton Thursday afternoon.
According to E. Thompson, Vice President, National Legislative Affairs & Associate Counsel of North Carolina Bankers Association, First South Bank located at 300 South Elm Street was robbed Thursday at approximately 3:10 p.m.
Captain Terry Parker with Lumberton Police says the robber was a very skinny light skinned black female or Indian female. The robber was wearing a pink and white horizontally striped shirt, blue jeans and had on tennis shoes with some pink on the back. The robber also wore a light blue ball cap. The suspect presented a note to the bank teller demanding money and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen on foot running behind the health mall. No one was hurt during the robbery. The North Carolina Bankers Association offers a reward through the Robbery Reward Program for information leading to the arrest and indictment of any individuals who were involved.
