LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach tourist left the Grand Strand $200,000 richer after purchasing a winning scratch off lottery ticket at a Kangaroo gas station.

The lucky winner bought the souvenir, a 50X scratch off, for $10 at the Kangaroo Express on Hwy. 17 in Little River.

While a side trip to Columbia wasn’t planned, the winner and her husband made their way to the Capital City to cash in the ticket before heading home out of state.

“I’ll be back to South Carolina,” the winner promised. “We had a wonderful vacation.”

One top prize of $200,000 remains in the 50X game, at odds of 1 in 696,000, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

For selling the claimed ticket, the retailer received a commission of $2,000.
